how many minutes a day do you spend deleting spam that got PAST your spam filter
ADD that to how many minutes a day you think your service provideer spends a day making your mail SERVER do it's best to stop most of it. (If i am your service provider, and you know who you are, the answer is roughly 30 minutes keeping up with updates and adding new bodies of spam for comparison)
multiply THAT answer by 365 days in a year
got a pretty big number? yeah, that's in minutes a year
now, MULTIPLY that number by the number of people YOU think, in the US, have to do the same thing on a daily basis.
(hint: pick a percentage of the populationg and do a web search for current population statistics, then find the percentage of that number and use it)

okay, now that you have an excedingly large number, divide it by 60 to find the number of hours wasted a year by poor saps like both of us.
divide that by 24 to find the number of DAYS wasted.l
that should be fine enough resolution for you to realize WHY this ridciulous sentence not only pisses ME off, but makes some people want the death penalty for spammers.
